Vinca minor f. alba 'Gertrude Jekyll'

£5.00Price

A Lovely evergreen herbaceous perennial. Delicate white flowers apprear in spring and will keep going all summer through to autumn.  The flowers sit amongst the deep green leaves.  It has a nice trailing habit and is a great low maintenance, ground cover plants that helps suppress weeds along the front of a border.  Also good in containers.

  • Common Name

    Small white periwinkle Gertrude Jekyll

  • Height and Spread

    0.1 x 0.5-1.0m

  • Cultivation

This low growing herbaceous perennial is fairly low maintenance.  It will grow well in most areas of the garden, even shady spots - I always love white flowers that can brighten up a shady part of the garden,  they will flower better the more sun they get but they do well in my shady side garden.  They will tolerate moist soil conditions as love as it isn't bone dry.

  • Additional Information

    Bee friendly.

It is also great in containers and I am going to start using it instead of annual trailing plants.  More sustainable and less work - watch this space
