Stipa tenuissima is a lovely deciduous grass with bright green leaves and in summer produces delicate pannicles of white / green flowers that turn a creamy buff colour. The movement it brings to the garden is just beautiful, I have them everywhere.

Cultivation
Grow in moist but well drained, light soil. It will not enjoy sitting wet during cold winter months when it will have a tendency to rot.

Can be used fresh in natural flower arrangements. Due it its smaller size, it looks well in pots.
