Penstemon 'Rubicundus’
Penstemon rubicundus, bears large, crimson flowers with a prominent white throat, from July to August. Upright bushy habit with bright green semi-evergreen leaves. It is loved by bumble bees and has been awarded the RHS Award for Garden Merit and Plants for Pollinators

Cultivation
Grow in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. In cold areas, protect plants overwinter with a dry winter mulch although most penstemon varieties are hardy in all but the harshest of winters. Also a good plant for taking summer cuttings to ensure they last the winter. Cuttings can either be softwood, late spring or semi ripe during the summer. They can also be divided in the spring
