Panicum virgatum 'Northwind'
£5.50Price
Panicum virgatum 'Northwind' has a lovely upright habit that brings structure and height to borders. It has lovely grey / green leaves which turn yellow / orange in the autumn months. Hazy sprays of pinky / green flowers appear late summer. I leave it until early spring before I cut it down as it brings lovely structure to the garden
Common Name
Switch Grass
Height and Spread
1.2 - 1.5m x 0.9m
Cultivation
This grass prefers to be grown in full sun and well drained soil.
It is a deciduous grass, therefore it will require a little tidying up late winter. Around the end of Feb - end of Mar cut back the old foliage to near ground level, before the new leaves start to appear.
