    Best grown in moist, humus-rich soil in semi-shade. It will tolerate deeper shade as long as the soil is consistently moist and has good levels of fertility.

    It is an easy plant to grow and is pest and disease resistant, whilst also being dry shade tolerant once established.  

    Bright green foliage is evergreen in all but the hardest of winters.
