Knautia macedonica is a clump forming herbaceous perennial. Large basal leaves with pin cushion flower heads borne on lovely tall, slender but robust stems. The colours range from deep red - pink - mauve. It is a great plant for bringing height to a perennial border or bed without blocking out neighbouring plants. Loved by bees and butterflies and also by me for wild flower arrangements.
