This is a great deciduous herbaceous perennial for the edge of a pond or wet, boggy part of the garden in full sun.  Tall, strong spikes of quite bright purple / pink / red flowers bring a great splash of colour.  Loved by bees and butterflies.

    Needs a moist part of the garden in full sun - great marginal plant or for a damp spot.  Water well if the ground starts to dry out.

    Lythrum salicaria 'Robert' is a great wildlife friendly plant.  High nectar and pollen rich flowers loved by bees and butterflies and other pollinators.  Great addition to your garden to bring in wildlife with the added bonus of beautifully colourful flowers from mid summer to autumn.

    You can increase your stock by lifting and dividing the clump every three years or so.
