This is a lovely herbaceous perennial with long, thin leaves that have tall spikes of fluffy violet purple flowers.  Attractive to bees and they also are great cut flowers.  Brings height and structure to a garden

    Grow in moist soil but soil that doesn't sit water logged during cold winter months.  Water regularly if soil is prone to drying out or give it a soak and a good mulch to help retain moisture.  Dead head and cut flowers back completely once they are over.

    Great for bees so good in a wildlife garden, cut flower garden, cottage or informal style of garden.
